It is pretty damn cold in Sydney at the moment. As I type this, I can barely feel my icicles…I mean, fingers because they are so cold (warning, typos may occur) and when it is cold, there isn't much else you can do but rug up, snuggle down, and consume as much warmth as humanly possible. Ask anyone who sees me regularly and they will confirm that this is my diet at the moment: Crumpets with ricotta, strawberries, and honey…. Read more »

Sydney Vivid Festival 2012
The Sydney Vivid Festival of Lights goes for three weeks at the end of May until the beginning of June. If you weren't around last year, check back here for our first VIvid experience. Seeing as we come from the small town of Brisbane, the big lights of Sydney were pretty exciting for us and it was great to go and see this year's light installations. This year there has been a ridiculous amount of rain so Bailey and I… Read more »
May in Reflection
So May is over and it's nearly time for a new month and season. Here's what I got up to this month: I watched: I listened to: The weather got cold in Sydney: I drank: I got to spend some time with some lovely ladies: I tried to get motivated: I read (and fell in love with) Saved By Cake by Marian Keyes – there's still time to enter my super cake-tastic giveaway: … Read more »
Winter’s Coming
Aside from throwing a Game of Thrones reference into today's post (how good is season two??), it is exactly how things are feeling in Sydney this week. It is COLD. The morning's are icy and the evenings are strictly reserved for warm PJ's, hot chocolate, and snuggling! Exercise regimes are out the window and soup is the only food I feel like eating. Autumn has hit hard here and the big trees in my area mean that it actually feels… Read more »
April Highlights
The beginning of May in Sydney brings chilly nights, brown leaves covering the ground, snuggly mornings struggling to get out of bed, a new job and a new role, a visit from my bestie and bringing all the winter coats out as the weather steadily gets colder. But before I get too cosy in almost-Winter May, I wanted to recap April. Long weekends, blogger meet ups, family visits and the launch of my new blog, The Perfect Lipstick, with my… Read more »
Winter Pastels
I'm currently a little bit in love with pastels. The truth is that I generally like pastel colours, but at the moment they are everywhere and this makes me pretty happy. For the northern hemisphere, it's pretty legitimate that these Spring-like colours are everywhere at the moment, but I don't see why we should miss out down here in Australia. Going into winter, I've been looking for ways to make this colour trend more practical for the colder months. So… Read more »
Winter Festival on an un-winter’s day
I think that my weekend posts have become a trend of 'this is what I did today'. I hope that everyone is okay with that, but it just seems that Saturday's (if not Sunday's) are the days that I get out after a long week of work and try and feel like I've really made something of the weekend! It didn't really occur to me until I started writing but you can see what I mean here, here and here…. Read more »
Sunday Cheer
I have to be honest, this weekend I have been frustrated. My life feels a little unsettled, I'm hating where we're living more than normal, Sydney is annoying me, and it's COLD. Like, all the time. So today I decided to do my best to cheer myself up. From my What's Happiness To You post from earlier in the week, I'm sure you can see that it doesn't take that much to make me happy… I walked to yoga, did… Read more »
