I'm not entirely sure what is going on this week, but some crazy things have been happening inside my brain. Ideas are blossoming with almost no force at all. They're just floating into my mind space, ripe for the picking. After being so caught up in millions of thoughts, there is a calmness to these thoughts, like floating leaves. It must be autumn! That is definitely one thing I am grateful for this week.  What's going on in your life?… Read more »

For a little while now, I've been trying to make a conscious effort to look for beautiful moments in the potentially mundane-ness of every day life. Going to work and the usual monotony of being an adult can get a little dull…if you let it. My new focus is to enjoy the little things and go against everything 'being an adult' sometimes seems to represent. This is a snapshot of the past weekend: – On Thursday I took advantage of the… Read more »

I have recently had an epic boost of inspiration, thanks mostly to B-School, and with that have come across some super wonderful ladies. One of them is Tara of Such Different Skies, and she has recently introduced Self Centered Sunday into her life routine and – incidentally – mine too. Unfortunately, because I only have a weekend to fit in a LOT, I'm not quite at the stage yet where I can commit an entire day to doing all the… Read more »

It was my birthday on the weekend and it was just the most perfect weekend (missing only a few special people!) On Friday night my birthday twin, Mandy, and I went for dinner and cocktails after work. It was the first chance we've had to catch up in literally years now and the perfect night to sit outside and enjoy the last of the summer.   On Saturday, Bailey took me out for dinner and gelato (so spoiled!) It was… Read more »

Typo drink bottle // Cool new ring and pink nails // More latte art // Wine! // Favourite childhood drink // Kushla peacock necklace // Module one of photography course // NYE photo It looks as though 'life lately' has been hot due to all the beverages I photographed this week! What's up with that?! This week I've been working hard on my eBook, I started a new job, and I started my photography course after putting it off for… Read more »

Even though I'm not the biggest lover of summer, there is certainly something special about it. Summer to me is sitting outside at night, afternoon drinks, walking around in the sun, the beach (obv), shorts and thongs, music festivals, partying, celebrations. I don't know if it's because of all the end of year stuff that I associate with summer but there is something exciting about it (and the fact that I conveniently forget about sweaty trains, sunburn, messy summer hair… Read more »

You know how sometimes, you feel as though a change is coming and you're just waiting for it to hit? I kind of feel as though that is happening to me at the moment. I have no idea where all the things that are coming at me are going to lead, but there is definitely a change coming and it is definitely exciting. This weekend, I was feeling a bit blah. It happens sometimes and I just wished that I… Read more »

This week a lot of blogger's posts have been speaking to me, do you ever have weeks like that? My three favourites were probably these three: My new favourite, Erin from artsocial, on an old favourite blog, isavirtue, talking about a favourite subject – being a blogger This reminder from Rachel of In Spaces Between about the love and importance of reading! Such a simple luxury, but a vital part of learning and thinking. And this post by Shoppe Girls… Read more »

I had so many intentions for this weekend and nothing really went as planned, including my Monday blog post! I think most of it is because of the insane amount of rain we had in Sydney, literally putting a dampener on the whole weekend. What I planned to do: – Go to Bikram Yoga – Go to the Vivid Light Festival – Write a blog about the Vivid Light Festival – Clean my whole house – Go to a screening… Read more »
