It is pretty damn cold in Sydney at the moment. As I type this, I can barely feel my icicles…I mean, fingers because they are so cold (warning, typos may occur) and when it is cold, there isn't much else you can do but rug up, snuggle down, and consume as much warmth as humanly possible. Ask anyone who sees me regularly and they will confirm that this is my diet at the moment: Crumpets with ricotta, strawberries, and honey…. Read more »

A Few Of My Favourite Things
I can't even begin to explain what kind of week this has been! I will say it has involved talking to a stripper and a dwarf, being abused over the phone by the worst person in customer service ever, sweet talking my way through pretty much everything, a bit too much BS for my general liking, lots of coffee and chocolate, these lifesaving cookies, and general wedding drama (not mine, don't panic). I'm glad it's Friday, isn't that an understatement…. Read more »
May in Reflection
So May is over and it's nearly time for a new month and season. Here's what I got up to this month: I watched: I listened to: The weather got cold in Sydney: I drank: I got to spend some time with some lovely ladies: I tried to get motivated: I read (and fell in love with) Saved By Cake by Marian Keyes – there's still time to enter my super cake-tastic giveaway: … Read more »
Winter’s Coming
Aside from throwing a Game of Thrones reference into today's post (how good is season two??), it is exactly how things are feeling in Sydney this week. It is COLD. The morning's are icy and the evenings are strictly reserved for warm PJ's, hot chocolate, and snuggling! Exercise regimes are out the window and soup is the only food I feel like eating. Autumn has hit hard here and the big trees in my area mean that it actually feels… Read more »
Totally Addicted To: Tea
I haven't always been a tea drinker, which is strange for an English-born girl. In fact, it wasn't until I went overseas early in my twenties and all my English relatives could not believe two things about me. One, that I didn't drink tea and, two, that I didn't have slippers. In England, I started drinking green tea with my second cousin, Ruth, but I still prefer a green tea or tisane to black tea. I also inadvertently collect tea… Read more »
On The Weekend: Sydney Blogger Event
On the weekend, I went against all my parents rules about the Internet from when I was a kid and met up with a bunch of strangers I found online for high tea at Sydney Westfield's Victoria Rooms Tea Salon. Luckily, those strangers were a group of lovely bloggers who also enjoy getting dressed up, chatting, and consuming baked goods – I knew we'd get on just fine and my mum would have nothing to worry about! Me and Tania… Read more »
26 Before 27 Recap
Last year, I made a list of 26 Things To Do Before I'm 27. In typical me-style, I then proceeded to mostly forget about the list and misplace it in one of the many notebooks I have lying around. I've dug it out and somehow managed to cross a bunch of things off (shock horror). Here are all the ones I got through: 2: Buy a Dutchie Bike. I got it as a Christmas gift, so technically… Read more »
