This week I've really noticed how uncomfortable change can be. My life, generally isn't changing too much – get up, go to work, work, go home, work on my own stuff, watch Game of Thrones, go to bed. Repeat. But I'M changing. It is generally and exciting process, but sometimes it's uncomfortable. Things that are normal just don't feel quite right any more. And you know what I feel like I need to remember in all of this. Embrace the… Read more »

Turning Envy Into Inspiration
Source: tumblr.com via Anneliese on Pinterest How much time do you think you spend looking at other people's lives and wishing you had what they have? I'm pretty sure the answer is, more time than you should. And by you I mean me (maybe I mean you too, but I don't want to make assumptions here!) Source: franklyesoteric.tumblr.com via Dana on Pinterest It's human nature to want what we can't have and often think the grass looks greener… Read more »
A Few Of My Favourite Things
I can't even begin to explain what kind of week this has been! I will say it has involved talking to a stripper and a dwarf, being abused over the phone by the worst person in customer service ever, sweet talking my way through pretty much everything, a bit too much BS for my general liking, lots of coffee and chocolate, these lifesaving cookies, and general wedding drama (not mine, don't panic). I'm glad it's Friday, isn't that an understatement…. Read more »
May in Reflection
So May is over and it's nearly time for a new month and season. Here's what I got up to this month: I watched: I listened to: The weather got cold in Sydney: I drank: I got to spend some time with some lovely ladies: I tried to get motivated: I read (and fell in love with) Saved By Cake by Marian Keyes – there's still time to enter my super cake-tastic giveaway: … Read more »

Making Dreams a Reality
I've been thinking (and blogging) about goals and dreams a bit lately. Making my mind up about things and just doing them is a big part of who I am and how I am where I am. For example, when I was 23, I decided I was sick of stupid boys messing with my life and I sat down and wrote a list of all the things I was looking for in my ideal person. I thought about it for… Read more »
Excuse Me While I Regenerate…
At the beginning of a new year I don't generally write "New Year's Resolutions" as I, like many, think that if there's ever a time to start something, it should be straight away – not to be left until a new year rings in. Having said that, I have always been a big fan of looking back at the year that was, the goals I achieved (or didn't), the mistakes I made (or didn't), the experiences I enjoyed (or didn't),… Read more »
Something to Think About
I have this very special person in my life. For me, it was an instantaneous realisation. The first conversation I had with him, I knew he was special and that he was going to change my life in a million different ways. But that is a story for another day, perhaps when it's not so late. So, for now, I would like to share with you something that he wrote a few years ago, and something that I thought I… Read more »
Undefined Dreams…
I feel most lost in my life when I'm not actively following my dreams or when, instinctively, I'm heading off course and my goals are no longer relevant to my current circumstances. I know that probably comes off sounding totally nerdy, but from my experience, when I write down or distinguish clearly defined dreams and goals, stuff starts happening for me in freaky ways. It makes me sad when people I care about want things and don't think it will… Read more »
