For a little while now, I've been trying to make a conscious effort to look for beautiful moments in the potentially mundane-ness of every day life. Going to work and the usual monotony of being an adult can get a little dull…if you let it. My new focus is to enjoy the little things and go against everything 'being an adult' sometimes seems to represent. This is a snapshot of the past weekend: – On Thursday I took advantage of the… Read more »

Aside from a pretty cool name, The Grounds of Alexandria could just be my new favourite spot in Sydney. I mentioned my visit briefly on Monday, but had to give you a full idea of the place, should you find yourself in the area. It seems wrong to know about this jewel in the heart of Sydney's industrial suburb and not share it with you (even though I secretly want to keep it to myself…) I get the feeling The… Read more »

I always struggle at blogging and taking photos when I'm in Brisbane because I spend so much time chatting and eating that I forget to capture the moment anywhere but in my brain. I've been here for a few days and have done a few bits and pieces. The time always goes so fast when I'm here, it's mental! I could bore you with the details but, let's face it, all you need to know is that there have been many… Read more »

Oh man, am I glad it is Friday! I can't even tell you, but this week was possibly the week from hell! Planning one wedding at a time is bad, but three all at the same time is mental (note: none of these are my own weddings, don't get too excited). I can barely even remember my favourite things from this week! Source: etsy.com via Katherine on Pinterest These prints by Obvious State. I want them all, framed, and in… Read more »

It is pretty damn cold in Sydney at the moment. As I type this, I can barely feel my icicles…I mean, fingers because they are so cold (warning, typos may occur) and when it is cold, there isn't much else you can do but rug up, snuggle down, and consume as much warmth as humanly possible. Ask anyone who sees me regularly and they will confirm that this is my diet at the moment: Crumpets with ricotta, strawberries, and honey…. Read more »

When my grandmother emails me and tells me about her latest baking triumph, that is a recipe I need to try. She is the queen of finding amazing recipes and absolutely perfecting them (she is also renowned for taking said perfections and making weird variations, but for the purpose of this post, we will ignore this fact). The other week she emailed me about the Coffee White Chocolate Cookies she made, telling me that my family are mad at her… Read more »

Firstly, I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dad for today. He's always been pretty good to me, so I figure he deserves an online shout out. My dad and I are so similar it's actually a little bit scary. I mentioned the other day that my bestie, boyfriend, sister, and mum are quite similar personalities, and Dad and I are the same – opposite to them, but the same as each other. Instead of doing any old favourite… Read more »

With the launch of my other blog yesterday, you can probably imagine that things are getting a bit crazy in my 'outside of work' life. I do have the fortune every so often of having time off work between shows (like this week, for example), however when work is on, it's mostly a bit nuts. On top of that I am also producing my first short film, writing this blog, exercising five or so times a week, and trying to… Read more »

Do you have special ladies in your life who, when you spend time with them, leave you feeling de-stressed and revitalised, ready to face the world and whatever is coming your way? I do. Unfortunately, most of them don't live in the same state as me, and this can be pretty difficult when life is getting me down. Yesterday, my friend Shamere was in Sydney and we spent the whole day eating and drinking coffee and shopping and just talking… Read more »
