2012 got off to a bit of a shaky start and I'm finding it hard to believe that the first week of January is almost over! Everything happened so quickly that I didn't even get the chance to look at how I went in my Eight in Eight (eight goals to achieve in the last eight weeks of 2011) so I thought I'd do it now before I start working again and everything goes back to crazy town…. Firstly, Happy New Year! It feels nice to say goodbye to 2011 and I have my heart set on big things for 2012! I love a new year, it feels so fresh and full of hope. Being the sentimental fool I tend to be, I wanted to reflect a bit on 2011 before I start on the new year. Here are some of the happy moments because there have been some not so amazing times this year, but these are… Read more »

Christmas is easily my favourite time of year. To me it means spending the day (that generally becomes days) of spending time with my family, eating way too much, drinking tasty beverages, laughing so hard it hurts your face, and generally having a wonderful time! I hope that your day is as truly enjoyable.       Images – 1, 2 Tweet

For some reason, the two weeks leading up to Christmas are always so hectic. I haven't been working that much, just doing some casual days on various shows, but I still feel like the time is passing SO quickly. Here are some bits and pieces that have been going on in my world over the last week or so: Awesome Christmas party with friends   Cherries!   New Salt and Pepper shakers   A beautiful Christmas present from my friend,… Read more »

As my holiday home for Christmas draws closer, I get more and more excited – you might be able to tell from this post and now I'm thinking about delicious Christmassy treats.  I've been searching around for some festive baking ideas to try out to spoil my friends and family (and, let's face it, me). Here are some recipe ideas I'm thinking of trying out this year: 1. Oreo Truffles 2. Red and Green Macarons 3. Strawberry Santa Cupcakes 4…. Read more »

I was hoping to do a super awesome gift guide as this week's Favourite Things, but I got distracted thinking of all the things I would like to be receiving for Christmas…I know, after my last Christmas-related post I seem VERY self centered and only think of myself and presents for me, but I promise this is not the case. I have already (somehow) done all of my Christmas shopping and so no longer have to think about that and… Read more »

My favourite month of the year is here! I love December, I get so crazy about Christmas, always have, probably always will! I spend too much money, eat too much deliciousness, and spend too much time lazing around with my closest people (if there's such a thing as too much)… But before I get ahead of myself into the festive December season, here is a bit of a recap of November. My favourite posts for the month: And my photo-a-day… Read more »

I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of freaking out about how quickly Christmas is coming around. And that everyone seems to be talking about how well their gift-giving is going. Eek! I really suck at getting organised For Christmas. Usually I try to start early but end up just buying myself lots of stuff while I agonise over how to get my special people the best presents EVER. Naturally, this has already begun, so here are a few of… Read more »

This week I started a new job. It's just a short term gig, but it will probably keep me going until Christmas! One of my favourite things this week is realising that you never know what is just around the corner! Speaking of Christmas, today's post has turned out very much supporting handmade, indie businesses and what better gift than to support a small business as well as buying some cool stuff that you can't get anywhere! Anyway, enough blabbing:… Read more »
