It's that time of the week already! Happy Friday to you there! This week I am grateful for the ideas that keep popping into my head and the enthusiasm that I greet them with. The next step is to turn them into something real. Sometimes my patience struggles to accept this part, but it's okay. I'm getting there little by little! I hope that your week has been full of some little discoveries, here's what I came across: I don't… Read more »

Ah damn, I did that thing where I wrote a sizable chunk of my post and then lost it! Does that happen to anyone else?! I haven't done it in a while but every time it happens I tell myself to be more careful. Sigh. Anyway, what I was saying before is that this week has been kind of strange. It's as though my head is full of too many thoughts and plans and ideas and I really need to… Read more »

Instagram is probably my favourite and most used iPhone app. It's like visual Twitter, in my opinion, allowing you to see the world of your friends and favourite celebrities through their eyes. Not to mention how good the filters can make a pretty average iPhone photo look. (Image from Pinstagram) I've been a big fan of Instagram since it was released and have amassed quite a gallery of images, mostly because of my Instagram Photo-a-Day project (which you can see… Read more »

Oh I'm so glad it's Friday! I just worked six days straight and haven't seen Bailey in about a week. It's a bit mental around here and I'm having some love-hate feelings about things at the moment! Such is life! So here are some of the things that have made me happy this week: A Beautiful Mess posting sewing tips, tutorials, and patterns all week! Will be super helpful because I'm going to teach myself to sew this year and,… Read more »

I don't get mail very often, but some exciting things have come in the post for me lately and I thought I'd share: My Hit RECord arrived! Once I've had time to actually have a look at it, I will post further and explain exactly what it is and my thoughts. Until then, you can get a bit of a heads up here – if you're a fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt you will quite likely find it a very interesting… Read more »

Uh oh, I got a little carried away. Red Velvet released their second collection last week and I fell in love with the First Date Dress. It's black and white, so it was only natural for me. But it's a style and era that is very new to me and I just couldn't help myself. Laura from Violet Bella had a similar thing happen when she saw the Blue Velvet dress. And Katie from Skunkboy Creatures. And Holly from Creates… Read more »

I happen to be some crazy kind of idealistic dreamer. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does often lead to a number of issues. I sometimes feel never feel like I am fulfilling my potential or that I have so many things I want to do I feel like I never get anywhere because I don't know where to start. This is what I mean: I really want to learn to sew and Elsie from A Beautiful… Read more »

Last week my first blog love post was Elsie Flannigan's A Beautiful Mess and this week I decided to feature her sister Emma's blog, From Scratch, because it is focused on something that is close to my heart – tasty food! Thin Mint Cookies Elsie and Emma work together at Elsie's vintage store, Red Velvet where Emma runs her own sweets counter (dream jobs, if you ask me!) Every couple of days, Emma posts recipes on her blog of the… Read more »

I haven't been a resident for all that long in Blogland, but I have been a dabbler in blog reading for a while and probably the blog that pushed me over the edge from 'every so often' reader to reading and writing blog junkie (and therefore the ideal place to start my new blog love series) is A Beautiful Mess. There are a couple of things that I just love about this blog and one day aspire to create something… Read more »
