This weekend was the last weekend my beautiful friend, Mandy, will be in Sydney. SAD! That word doesn't adequately articulate how I actually feel – it's more like COMPLETELY DEVASTATED. But, as I have learned from leaving my home town and moving to a new state, sometimes you have to do these things.
In recognition of her last weekend here, Bailey and I took Mandy out to make sure she saw all our favourite parts of Sydney. We showed my mum and dad the same when they were here in March, it's our thing.
Saturday night we went to our favourite Thai place in Kirribilli. It was delicious, as usual, and Bailey made us laugh when the wine started going to our heads a little.
Then Mandy decided late on Saturday night that she needed to try a Rueben before she left – and we obviously agreed with her. Everyone remembers their first time (check ours out here).
Not to mention the BEST cake at The Rocks Cafe (another time honoured tradition!) and a walk around the markets.
We had the best weekend. I wish I'd taken more photos – as usual – but we laughed a lot and I hope Mandy will always remember Sydney and us with a smile!
Oh and in case you're wondering where Bailey was, here he is (look out for Mandy and I in the reflection!)
Hope you all had a great weekend!
