On the weekend, I went against all my parents rules about the Internet from when I was a kid and met up with a bunch of strangers I found online for high tea at Sydney Westfield's Victoria Rooms Tea Salon.
Luckily, those strangers were a group of lovely bloggers who also enjoy getting dressed up, chatting, and consuming baked goods – I knew we'd get on just fine and my mum would have nothing to worry about!
Me and Tania of Cakeface (best blog name ever!)
Michaela of Lather, Rinse, Repeat and possibly the greatest milkshake ever
We talked about blogging and life in general, we sipped tea from beautiful china cups and saucers, we ate scones and finger sandwiches, we got to test out some beauty products gifted to us by some very generous cosmetics companies (stay tuned for that), and we had an all-round fabulous time.
As usual, I was a photography slacker but, thankfully, Rosemary of Lashes & Lattes whipped out her camera and bunched us all up for some group shots:
(A big thanks to Rosemary for the use of her photos!)
It was great to step away from my computer for the day – although much mobile tweeting and Instagraming happened throughout the day – and get the chance to put faces to the Twitter handles and the blog posts. I look forward to the next time we meet up!
