I'm going to be honest (because that's what I do here), I haven't really been feeling myself lately. Do you ever get that?
On Saturday, instead of moping around and giving into the motivation-killing lethargy that has been severely impacting my drive to get out of bed (let alone go for a run), I decided to try a different approach.
I grabbed the boy, a beanie, and a bright cardigan and went for a long walk around where we live. The streets were so quiet and peaceful (despite people walking their dogs, kids running around in the park, plenty of people about), and we had a really amazing afternoon walking around in the perfect autumn weather; leaves crunching at our feet and the warm sun on our faces. That alone could make anyone feel amazing (it also helps to have someone with you who will make you laugh, buy you coffee, and pose for photos!)
We also had all day breakfast and stopped off for a spot of shopping. I could pretty much call this my perfect Saturday afternoon!
What do you do to cheer up when you're not feeling the best?
