Oh I can't believe it's Monday again already, the weekend comes and goes so quickly!! Saturday was possibly one of the best weather days we've had in Sydney this year. It was blue skies and sunshine and a cool breeze that made it just perfect.
I live on a funny little block surrounded by smaller lanes with the cutest houses on them and this weekend, our block had a neighbourhood garage sale. I somehow missed the memo and didn't find out about it until 30 minutes before it ended, but I managed to run around and have a look at what was going on before they packed up!
It's like living in a small town, 10 minutes away from the centre of the city, it's so amazing! I spent the rest of the day walking around my area. I got my nails done, got some groceries, stopped in at some op shops, and just enjoyed the sun.
Then on Saturday night we went to a joint birthday celebration and a gig of some friends at The Vanguard in Newtown. The food was AMAZING, the music was great, and the company was delightful as always! It was a bit too dark to take photos but I got a couple of the stage. The Vanguard is like an old theatre restaurant, it had a great atmosphere.
I don't usually take photos of what I wear but this outfit turned out exactly like I wanted it to. You can ALMOST see what I was wearing and my new, darker hair in this photo:
One day I will maybe teach myself how to take real photos instead of iPhone photos and the results might be slightly better.
I'm pretty sure I only get through the week knowing that there is a weekend as a reward. It's like my reward for getting up, dressed, and to work in the morning is coffee. It seems to work so if I stick with the 'reward system' everything will be okay.
