As part of my quest to find joy in the little things, I have miraculously filled February up with wonderful things. And it's not even the full way through! Here some of the things I'm feeling grateful for this week:

markets

Last weekend I went to the markets and just wondered around with my friend looking at all the beautiful handmade delights. We're so lucky in Sydney to have so many creative people and markets all over the place – beats shopping centers every day of the week!

valentines

Yes it was Valentine's Day last week, and I do appreciate that the dreaded day of love can also include chocolate from friends and flowers even from V-Day haters for no reason can be pretty cool!

bondi

I constantly mention how incredible the people in my life are. Relationships are EVERYTHING I tell you! I don't know a lot, but attracting special people is something I can safely admit that I have a particular talent for. One of my most favourite people came to visit on the weekend and we got up to SO much in such a short amount of time.

coffee cake

We went to The Grounds of Alexandria, Bourke St Bakery, an engagement party, and Bondi. What a weekend!

Bondi Beach Sydney

We don't get to see each other as regularly as we want to, but I never take for granted what we have. We are soul sistas and I really wish I'd added that step to my relationship tips! Never take what you have for granted. It is the best advice I have.

tropfest finals 2013

tropfest 2013

And then last night was Tropfest. I was so lucky that my first time was one spent with great friends AND a film that I worked on in the final 16. If you didn't get a chance to see Cargo, check it out here. And don't forget to tell me what you think (WARNING: it has a zombie-theme, but it's not really about zombies…)

What have you been most grateful for lately? It can be little, it can be big, it can be something that you maybe have been taking for granted a little bit lately. Put it out there, say it in the comments below!

I love your approach and recognition that it’s finding joy in the little things (and our relationships) that matter! For me, I am grateful today for a fun little change in the form of a BRIEF cold snap on the island, cozy socks and sweatsuit, love and snuggles from my dog, the small ways that my strong-silent-type Beau shows his love, beauty in nature and your blog!
