I have mentioned before that Jamie from From Me To You is one of my photography inspirations. If one day I can capture moments half as well as her, I will be over the moon and back.
I read Jamie's blog religiously, envy her Manhattan life completely, and study her photographs to work out why they are so breathtaking – and they always are. Last week I was green over her day spent behind the scenes at Oscar de la Renta and today her photos from the Governors Island Jazz Age Lawn Fest are no exception – they made me cry a little bit to know that something like this exists in the world and I wasn't a part of it.
If you know me at all, you will get it straight away. And if you don't know me that well, Jamie's post might give you some insight into an era that I'm particularly in love with.
I'm going now to dream about flapper dresses, red lipstick, pin-tucked curls, parasols, Model-T's, pie contests and afternoon cocktails…
Kx
