You may have noticed a few changes around the place after a brief Easter hiatus. Welcome to my fresh new blog design; I hope you like it! The limitations of the old design were starting to drive me nuts so while I tweaked that, I kind of updated a few other bits and pieces.
Change has been coming up in conversation a lot lately and I'm sure it has a small part to do with the seasons. It often seems that, as the weather changes, life gets a bit disrupted and it's a good time to take a look at things and work out where things can be tweaked. If something is bothering you, only you have the power to change it.
It is so easy to complain about the weather, someone at work, the car not starting, stupid changes to Facebook, or the government but, let's face it, those things are always going to happen. Come Autumn, the evenings will get darker more quickly and the cold weather will set in – it is inevitable. All we can really control is how we take on the things that comes our way. I keep trying to remind myself that if something isn't working for me, then it's up to me to fix it and if it can't be fixed, maybe it is going to require a different approach. If things seem off track, it might be time to sit down and re-evaluate goals set months ago and accept that it's okay to potentially be off course or suddenly with a brand new dream.
I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with change. I love the prospect of new ideas and plans and adventures on the horizon but a part of me also tends to enjoy the comfort of having things a certain way and knowing what to expect. This is, of course, a fallacy because as soon as life starts to feel too comfortable, a curveball will inevitably be thrown your way and everything will fall into disarray once again.
I hope the seasonal changes are treating you well!
