Last week I did a recap of my 26 Things Before I Turn 27 list and what I accomplished through the year from my goal list.  Despite being an avid list maker, I was pretty surprised at how much of it I got through and I think this is going to be a yearly thing – big goals for the next 12 months (you can click on the image to enlarge if it's too small!). I have to admit, this… Read more »

Last year, I made a list of 26 Things To Do Before I'm 27. In typical me-style, I then proceeded to mostly forget about the list and misplace it in one of the many notebooks I have lying around. I've dug it out and somehow managed to cross a bunch of things off (shock horror).      Here are all the ones I got through:   2: Buy a Dutchie Bike. I got it as a Christmas gift, so technically… Read more »

Due to the nature of my work, I sometimes find myself without work – such as now. I used to always stress out about the end of a show, and then freak out for a few days and then get a call saying, can you start tomorrow, and feel silly about wasting my precious time off. Not this time though! I am making a major effort to just appreciate the break after working my butt off for the past eight… Read more »

2012 got off to a bit of a shaky start and I'm finding it hard to believe that the first week of January is almost over! Everything happened so quickly that I didn't even get the chance to look at how I went in my Eight in Eight (eight goals to achieve in the last eight weeks of 2011) so I thought I'd do it now before I start working again and everything goes back to crazy town…. I nearly fell off my chair this morning when I realised that we are already through the first week of November. How is that so!? On that note, I always get the urge to get some sort of closure at the end of the year and I think that's why I wanted to come up with eight things to do in the last eight weeks of the year. Rachel from In Spaces Between (where I first saw the idea) is… Read more »

For our first road tripping experience, I think that we did quite well. I'm not exactly an organised person so I will not deny that there weren't things I could improve on, but now that I know these things, I will keep them in mind for next time (haha, next time…) and I also thought I would share them with other budding road trippers out there. 1 – Snacks are vital for survival 2 – Planned toilet stops and refuellng… Read more »

I write 'to do' lists all the time, but I am terrible at actually finishing them off. I thought maybe if I posted them into the clouds then maybe I would have to actually get around to doing my 'to do' list. I'm actually out on a shoot but I wrote this list as a reminder for when I return: 1 – Finish all my tax stuff and send it to the accountant (blerg)  2 – Make cupcakes that I… Read more »

Winter is a bit of a foreign concept to a girl from Brisbane. Remembering to put a coat on every time I go outside is almost as big a challenge as getting out of my warm, warm bed in the morning. Me trying to do winter… Another issue that is not all that unfamiliar to me is how much my skin is suffering in this new climate. My hair is dry (and desperately needs to be cut), my hands are… Read more »

I can't remember if it was my mum or dad who used to say it but, when I was little, if I ever said "oh I can't wait until…" they always used to say, "don't wish your life away". Such a parental thing to say! I really try not to, but sometimes a little incentive to get out of bed and get on with the day can go a long way. Here are some things I am looking forward to:… Read more »
