I don't even remember how or when I discovered Kaitlyn Webb Patience and her blog, isavirtue, but it was inevitable because she creates one of the things I love most in the world – beautiful stationery! Delectable writing papers aside, I also love Kaitlyn's philosophies on life, art, love, and mail – all the things that make up her wonderful blog. She has this feature called "Thoughts On" and I sometimes find it a little freaky how much her externally… Read more »

Finders Keepers Markets
This weekend was the Finders Keepers Markets in Sydney. A bi-annual event that combines handmade clothing, jewellery, homewares, art, and zines with live music and a bar. As a lover of markets, you can imagine I was very much in my element! My friend Mel and I headed to Carriage Works – the home of the first Finders Keepers markets that are now a national event – and here are some photos I somehow managed to take among the massive… Read more »
A Few of My Favourite Things
This week I started a new job. It's just a short term gig, but it will probably keep me going until Christmas! One of my favourite things this week is realising that you never know what is just around the corner! Speaking of Christmas, today's post has turned out very much supporting handmade, indie businesses and what better gift than to support a small business as well as buying some cool stuff that you can't get anywhere! Anyway, enough blabbing:… Read more »
My Memories Suite + Giveaway
Exciting news, friends; a giveaway is upon us! I'm sure you've noticed how much I like taking photos, well now I have a way to make them look pretty – with My Memories Suite. I don't know a lot about scrap booking or visual design but when the lovely people at My Memories asked me to try out their software, I thought I'd give it a go. I had heaps of fun and found it really simple putting together all… Read more »
Birthday Present Mayhem
What do you buy for the girl who has everything…for sale on eBay? It's a tough one. And when it was my beautiful sister's 25th birthday a few weeks ago, I was completely stumped on what to get her when it will all just add to excess baggage on her upcoming overseas relocation. My solution? I decided to go on the fact that she is planning a trip to Sydney to visit me in my new city before moving to… Read more »
In The Mail
I don't get mail very often, but some exciting things have come in the post for me lately and I thought I'd share: My Hit RECord arrived! Once I've had time to actually have a look at it, I will post further and explain exactly what it is and my thoughts. Until then, you can get a bit of a heads up here – if you're a fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt you will quite likely find it a very interesting… Read more »
Blog Love: Paper Sparrow
Last week, I came across a super cute, crafty blog called Paper Sparrow. Andrea is a DIY queen and a great artist, always creating and sharing with her readers. What interests me the most about her blog is the "Blog Parties" she hosts, encouraging other bloggers to create DIY's, giveaways, outfits, and other creative posts centering around a chosen theme – often film related. For example, she has recently hosted a Harry Potter blog party, and a Wes Anderson blog… Read more »
First Date Dress
Uh oh, I got a little carried away. Red Velvet released their second collection last week and I fell in love with the First Date Dress. It's black and white, so it was only natural for me. But it's a style and era that is very new to me and I just couldn't help myself. Laura from Violet Bella had a similar thing happen when she saw the Blue Velvet dress. And Katie from Skunkboy Creatures. And Holly from Creates… Read more »
Coffee and Knitting…
You heard me – coffee and knitting. That is how I spent the better part of the Anzac Day public holiday following a long weekend of miserable rain! So today, I put on my brightest coloured dress despite the weather, and headed out with my friends Mandy and Shamere. Shamere is teaching me and Mandy how to knit and it is surprisingly awesome. Part therapeutic and part fun to create something from scratch – actually that is the part that… Read more »
