So you might have noticed a couple of changes around the place. Do you know when something isn't feeling quite right and so you need to work on it and let it settle in? That's kind of how I was feeling and even though I felt like I SHOULD have been spending the time working on a million other things on my to-do list, this has ended up being a priority. That kind of leads me to today's video. How… Read more »

I am generally the biggest lover of list-making and managing to achieve things in a big way thanks to my to do list. For some reason, though, in the past couple of weeks, I have been subconsciously rejecting my 'to do list'. I don't know what's going on! I'm putting a BIG part of it down to the sheer load of work on my little plate right now (all self-inflicted, of course) and the big dreams that are spilling all… Read more »

Do you ever listen to a song and it feels like it has just reached into your chest and literally touched your inner workings? It could be one you've heard a bunch of times, or one you've never heard before but somehow it just gets to you. That happened to me today. If you're not really into Incubus, that's cool; they're not everyone's cup of tea. But Brandon has an INCREDIBLE voice and he sings this song live with incredible… Read more »

Have you ever noticed how much life works in patterns? Think about a few people you know – do you notice patterns in the things they tell you or seem to be going through? Think about yourself; do YOU seem to be going through the same things over and over again? One of my favourite quotes ever is from Albert Einstein: But the thing is that humans are naturally attracted to patterns. Whilst this has been beneficial to the survival… Read more »

According to news reports, the retail sector has had a huge increase in Halloween related sales this year. I don't know what that's about and haven't heard of any Halloween celebrations to attend today, but I thought I'd make a list of what I'd do to mark the occasion, if we did recognise Halloween as a holiday (which we probably will soon enough, if sales figures say anything about the way we're headed!) This would be my costume because Day… Read more »

I don't really know how to explain how I've been feeling lately because I can't quite pinpoint it. Do you have days or weeks like that? I've had a week of upset stomachs mixed with a confused ensemble of anxious feelings and overwhelming anticipation for an unknown future. Is anyone feeling me? It's all kinds of bizarre. Source: Uploaded by user via Katherine Mackenzie-Smith on Pinterest       DO I FEEL LIKE THIS? I haven't felt like doing anything… Read more »

Spring is my favourite season, I just love it. I'm so sad that it would seem I am horribly allergic to it, especially my new Jasmine plant. But that will not stop me from loving the cool mornings and warm sun, the fresh, new feeling of the season. I don't know what it is, but Spring always feels like a time for refocusing and endless possibilities. Is that weird? I feel like my goals and thoughts have been all over… Read more »

It's inevitable, upon returning from a trip home or when family and friends visit me in Sydney, that I then spend the next few days (weeks, etc) with the Back From Brisbane Blues. I can't help it, my chest aches with recent memories of the special people in my life who live there that I get the chance to see when I go home. It's as if no time has passed and distance means nothing, a true testament to the… Read more »

. I just had to share this video with you after coming across it last night. This video really made me think about the one life that we have, and the way in which we live that life. We don't know what the future holds; some people live to 90 and some people die too soon, like Rachel, at nine. In her ridiculously short life, it would seem that she did more than most people do in decades. She… Read more »
